What happens during a consultation?
During the consultation I will
- Ask about your dog’s lifestyle including exercise routine, diet and medical history
- Observe your dog’s movement
- Develop a treatment plan based on information and observations
- Undertake a massage based on the treatment plan
How long is a consultation?
The length of the consultation depends on the size of your dog but generally lasts up to an hour including massage.
Where does the consultation take place?
The consultation and massage takes place in your home where your dog is most comfortable.
What if my dog is nervous?
That’s ok. I will adjust treatment according to your dog’s tolerance. This may mean a treatment plan focused on relaxing your dog and reducing anxiety. Your dog’s comfort is my priority.
Are there any reasons my dog can’t have a massage?
There are some medical conditions that require veterinary clearance before a massage can be undertaken however I will go through these with you before the consultation takes place. I will happily work with your veterinarian or complementary medicine practitioner to provide the most appropriate treatment for your dog.
What are your opening hours?
I work weekday evenings and Saturday. I alternate between Northside and Southside of Canberra depending on demand. Please get in touch to arrange an appointment time that suits you.
